haenG reviewed by Keith....

Here we are... thanks to our friend Keith P. Rein from Athens in Usa for his review & pics. Keith is a really talented guy, take a look here. We met him here and now we're planning to make somethin' together... stay tuned...

"Haeng is an italian denim company doing things right, and their own way. Before I break down the pair I have my hands on, I want to say that whenever I wear these bad boys, I am complimented by both the ladies, and the dudes that want a pair.

Fit is always the most important part of clothing, and these are spot on. From what I hear from the guys behind the label, the jeans run snug, so it's best to size up one size. I've been rocking the hang bang model which is a low-rise pant, slim through the thigh and calf, with a smaller boot cut opening - which is great, because most american boot cut jeans have too large of an opening.

The guys behind Haeng are completely involved in the details. There are no visible labels, no logo that points to the company. The name of each fit is sewn into the pockets! You can recognize a pair of Haeng denim by the craftsmanship and carabiner affixed to the coin pocket. For those who are unsure about the look of this, when ordering online, you can choose to have the carabiner or not. However, I have used mine to open beer bottles, so I'm all for it.

I tend to wear my denim to the ground, however, the crotch always seems to go before the rest of the fabric. These 'tear hotspots' are reinforced with an extra layer of denim, or thickened seams. I don't think these will breakdown anytime soon.

This particular model comes slightly distressed - a few snags here, some subtle paint drips, and of course a bit of fading and whiskering. Because of this, I classify this as a very well fitting workman's jean, a little rugged, a little americana. That being said, I wouldn't suggest wearing these to factory - they just look too good. They can easily be worn for a casual night on the town.

The hang bang also comes in a raw version, and you can imagine how awesome it will be wearing these day in day out and making your own mark in them. Because of there are no signs of wear in this particular style you can dress them up a bit more.

On the details -

A tonal stitch shoots diagonally across one thigh and the back right pocket has a smaller pocket sewn on top of it. If you are a bartender, the smaller pocket is perfect for a bar-key. It also fits my phone and the main pocket still has enough room for my wallet. The coin pocket that houses the carabiner is backed with a piece of leather to keep the denim from fraying. And don't worry, there is a functional coin pocket on the left side that I keep my pocket knife in. I believe the jeans come with a fixed inseam, as most well-made denim does. I tend to take my jeans in to a taylor to hem them with little to no break. However, the inseam of these has a thicker interior stitch (almost like a beefroll on some loafers) and i did not want to break this up, because its very nice. Instead, I cuff these pants and I think they look amazing.

I currently do not own a better made and fitting pair of jeans, and look forward to snagging another."

Nei negozi a Settembre, on line 100 pezzi e solo 100.
